Since we are part of a kinetic chain, and our foot is connected to our leg and so on, orthotics have the ability to treat pathologies of the feet, as well as all the connecting structures.
Many common conditions treated with orthotics may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Plantar Fasciitis or arch pain
- Recurrent ankle sprains
- Diabetic foot ulcerations
- Corns and calluses
- Patellofemoral Syndrome or front knee pain
- Hip and low back pain
- Metatarsalgia or pain in ball of foot
- Morton’s Neuroma or numbness and tingling toes
CUSTOM FOOT ORTHOTICS are fit by our registered therapists and doctors specially trained in conditions of the feet and lower limb. During a visit, the therapist or doctor will take a medical history, conduct a foot and lower limb examination, and take computerized scans to analyze gait and produce 3D images.
This information is then used to determine the best treatment options, as well as the most appropriate orthotic accommodations. Once this has been evaluated, the therapist or doctor will show the client all the orthotics that are available, so that they can pick the style that suits them best.
Upon completion of the assessment and visit, the scans are sent to the laboratory for manufacture and the product is generally delivered within 21 days. When the orthotics arrive, the client is notified and rescheduled for a fitting of their orthotics. At this time, all the documentation will also be provided for insurance reimbursement.
The orthotics come with a 1 year warranty against defects, as well as a 90 day modification guarantee. For children and youth under 18 years of age, we also have a program that if they outgrow their orthotics within 12 months, they shall receive a new pair for only $100.00.
