Diagnostic Blood Testing
At POIRIERCASTRO HSE, we take your health and safety very seriously, and offer the most comprehensive medical surveillance, and industrialhygiene programs in the industry.
In order to help us further evaluate the environmental exposures in the workplace, we can provide blood and urine analysis to test employees who may be at high risk of occupational illness. These employees may work with lead, cadmium, mercury and other toxic materials.
Since symptoms may be subtle and toxicity accumulates over time, it is important to conduct annual testing to ensure that employees are not over exposed.

BLOOD AND URINE ANALYSIS is performed by our Certified Laboratory Technicians and Nurses onsite, and all specimens are collected using sterile techniques in order to prevent cross contamination and infection.
Samples are then securely packaged and sent to an accredited laboratory for testing. All results are sent to our Physician specializing in Occupational Medicine for review and then released to the client.
If a medical follow up is needed, our Physician may request a visit from the client in order to discuss the results.
Under the Alberta OH&S Code, employees are required test workers who may be exposed to lead and other substances in the workplace.
